THE hottest new pop star to emerge from the States since Lady Gaga risked a spell in jail because of a desperate bid to find fame.

Tik Tok singer Ke$ha, whose real name is Kesha Rose Sebert, broke into Prince’s home in the hope that he would listen to a demo of her songs.

Fortunately for her, the surprised Purple Rain star was so impressed by her determination that he didn’t only take the tape but also decided not to call the cops.

Ke$ha, 22, admitted: “I did actually crawl under a fence to get into Prince’s house.

“I paid the gardener five bucks to help me make it to the other side.

“Then I went waltzing up the purple driveway and found the door was unlocked.

“I got inside and totally freaked out, because there was Prince playing guitar in the other room.

“I called my mum and whispered, Ke$Animal ‘What do I do, I’m in Prince’s house?’

“She was like , ‘W hat do you mean?’ be “I said, ‘I snuck into his house.’

“She told me to give him my CD.

So Idid that. But he was in ban d practice so we didn’t get a chance buab fact to talk.

“I know I could have gone to jail but how amazing would that be if that was on my record? That would be the best thing to get arrested for in the entire world.”

With sales of her debut single having hit the million mark this week, Ke$ha was getting ready for a gig in Amsterdam when I spoke to her.

Having heard her story, I suggested that breaking in is perhaps the new breaking up. She laughed and promised to use the line as a lyric in one of her songs.

Already dubbed a wild child, Ke$ha w ill release her debut album, She S pears sang Animal , on January 11.

And she believes the album title better reflects her nature. She explained: “I am a wild child but I think I ammore like a wild animal. I act on instinct a lot b e cause I a m very in touch with the with Manchester fact that we are all animals.

“Just because we are in this concrete jungle doesn’t mean we can’t still be totally connected with a would on t he instincts we are born with.

“We are trained not to act on our instincts but to think about things. I don’t do that. records and too “I just think that if there is something you want in life you should go get it and don’t take no for an answer. I also think anything is possible.

“You can ask people to help you do stuff. But it comes down to getting yourself off the couch and doing something. That is how life changes and amazing things happen – when you take life into your own hands.”

Ke$ha explained: “Paris and I don’t necessarily run in the same circles but I ended up at one of her house parties after I sang on her second single.

“I was entertaining myself, because we don’t have that much in common. So I was jumping off the roof into the pool and everyone thought I was a complete maniac.

“I was hanging out and dancing around by myself, then I got a little too excited and barfed in her toilet.”

Getting back to her career, Ke$ha said: “It has been quite a trek.

“I write my own stuff, so I am really excited that people are responding to a song that I have written.

“There are a lot of lovely pop stars out there who don’t write their own stuff.

“I have something to say. On Tik Tok, and the rest of the record, I write about everything.

“I have serious songs I wrote in. s’ with my brother that are quasi-political, then I have songs about aliens and songs about dinosaurs.

“You name it and I have probably written a song about it.”
